Christmas Finds | Dollar tree finds
Wow she made made a cool Christmas decoration 🎄
After my Dollar Tree Christmas tree hack turned out so wonderfully, I felt inspired to really deck the halls without breaking the bank! It's incredible what you can achieve with a little creativity and a trip to Dollar Tree. Since I was already in the mood for budget-friendly festive touches, I started exploring more fantastic ways to use Dollar Tree finds for stunning holiday decor, especially to complement my new Christmas tree. One area I really wanted to explore was wreaths, inspired by the little cardinal birds I added to my tree's decorative elements. While my original project focused on a 'tree hack', you can absolutely create beautiful, full-looking wreaths using Dollar Tree supplies. Forget expensive deco mesh; I found that by combining several smaller garlands or using bundles of those same red berries and pine cone stems, I could craft a really lush base. I often pick up a simple wire wreath form, or sometimes even repurpose a hula hoop (believe it or not!) for a larger base. Then, I just layer those lovely Dollar Tree floral picks – some with a touch of white paint for that 'snow look', others with glitter. For a truly unique touch, I've even seen people incorporate mini stockings or little elf-themed ornaments onto their wreaths for that whimsical, 'elf stocking' vibe, just like I added my cardinal birds. This makes it feel personalized and special, not just store-bought. Beyond wreaths, Dollar Tree is a goldmine for general Christmas decor ideas. I love grabbing their plain ornaments and personalizing them. A little glitter glue, some craft paint, or even simple ribbons can transform them into bespoke pieces. For instance, I took some clear plastic ornaments, filled them with fake snow and tiny red berries, and tied a festive bow – instantly chic! Centerpieces are another easy win. Dollar Tree has a fantastic selection of glass vases and candle holders. I like to fill tall vases with water, add floating candles, and then surround the base with pine cones (some gathered from my yard and painted white, just like for my tree hack!), more berry stems, and a strand of battery-operated fairy lights. It creates such a warm, inviting glow for holiday dinners. And don't even get me started on mantel or shelf decor! Their affordable garlands are perfect for layering. I usually buy a few strands and intertwine them, then tuck in additional berry picks, larger pine cones, and maybe some small figurines. Adding a string of Dollar Tree fairy lights makes everything sparkle. If you're going for a specific theme, like a winter wonderland, those frosty branches and iridescent ornaments they carry are perfect for achieving that elegant, snowy aesthetic. My biggest tip for shopping at Dollar Tree for Christmas decor is to think outside the box. Don't just stick to the obvious Christmas aisle. The craft section often has gems like ribbons, felt, and even small wooden shapes that can be painted and incorporated. The floral section is a treasure trove of stems and picks that can elevate any arrangement. And always, always go with a color scheme in mind. Even if you're buying a mix of items, having a cohesive palette makes everything look intentional and high-end, not haphazard. Creating beautiful holiday decor doesn't have to be expensive. My Dollar Tree Christmas tree hack proved that, and now I'm hooked on finding new ways to make our home feel festive and cozy, all thanks to smart shopping and a little DIY spirit!
