Wicked made me QUIT my job 💚🩷

I was a preschool teacher working 9 hour days and 3+ hours at home doing lesson plans ans trainings. My mental health was absolutely tanking for months!

Fast forward: My fiance took me to see the new Wicked movie. I was familiar with the musical but only with the music, I had never seen it on stage. After seeing the jaw-dropping performance of Cynthia Erivo, I was truly changed “for good” 😉. I resonated so much with Elphaba’s character as a woman of color and facing many social obstacles when I was younger. I had realized I tried so hard to make others happy that I was slowly becoming the Wicked Witch in my own story. After hearing Defying Gravity, I decided it was time to quit what was once making me miserable and seek new more adventurous paths!

I don’t know where I will land in my career yet, but I am having fun trying new things on the journey. If you’re looking for a sign to pursue what makes you happy, here it is! 💚🩷🧹🫧
