first page vs most recent page
i was so excited when i made this but then i absolutely hated it. i added stickers to try to make it look better but it’s still it. my more recent one honestly isn’t that great either i was super excited for this one as well but there’s something about it that feels off to me. let me know what you think!#junk journaling
Creating junk journal pages can be a creative yet challenging process. From my experience, the first page I made was filled with excitement but also came with some disappointment—I added stickers hoping to improve it, but it still felt off. When I moved on to my most recent page, I hoped for better results, but again, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. What I've learned is that junk journaling is a highly personal art form where each page reflects your mood and creativity during that specific time. If a page doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to experiment with different materials, layering techniques, and embellishments like stickers or washi tape to see what resonates with your style. I’ve also found that focusing less on perfection and more on the story or feeling you want to convey can bring more satisfaction. Sometimes, combining old packaging designs or printed text (like phrases from product packaging or advertisements) can add a vintage or eclectic flair that fits the junk journaling aesthetic. Remember, junk journaling is about self-expression and letting go of strict rules. Over time, you’ll develop a style that feels authentic. Don’t hesitate to share your progress and ask for feedback from the community; it can provide new perspectives and ideas that you might not have considered before. Ultimately, whether it’s your first page or the latest, every creation is a valuable part of your creative journey.
