Alright, fellow Legendary Tales 3 fanatics! Who else got totally stumped by Chapter 3: 'Fangs'? I know I did for a bit, but after a lot of trial and error (and maybe a few rage quits, haha!), I finally cracked it, and I'm super excited to share my full walkthrough to help you all conquer this beast of a chapter! Navigating the Shadowy Labyrinth of Fangs The moment you step into Chapter 3, you'll feel the atmosphere shift. It's darker, more menacing, and those creepy 'Fang' creatures are everywhere. The first area is a sprawling labyrinth filled with hidden pathways and pressure-plate traps. My biggest tip here: *take it slow*. Don't rush into every corridor. Look for subtle environmental clues – flickering torches, misplaced stones, or even faint scratches on the walls often indicate a hidden passage or a trap's proximity. I remember getting caught by a crushing trap twice before I realized I needed to activate a distant lever first! Also, keep an eye out for glowing red spores; destroying them often opens up new paths or disables nearby traps. Conquering the Fang Creatures: Combat Strategies These 'Fangs' aren't your average grunts. They're fast, hit hard, and often come in packs. I found that their weakness seems to be fire-based attacks, so if you have any flame spells or enchanted weapons, now's the time to equip them! Always prioritize the smaller, agile 'Bloodfang Stalkers' first, as they can quickly overwhelm you with their rapid attacks. The larger 'Alpha Fangs' are slower but have a devastating charge attack. I found dodging to the side at the last second and then counter-attacking their flank to be super effective. Don't forget to utilize your environment – lure them into choke points or near explosive barrels if you can find any. Stamina management is key here; don't just spam attacks. Wait for openings! The 'Bloodied Altar' Puzzle Solution Midway through the chapter, you'll encounter the 'Bloodied Altar' puzzle. This one had me scratching my head for ages! It involves collecting three 'Moonstone Runes' scattered across different mini-chambers. Each chamber has a unique challenge: one is a timed platforming sequence, another requires you to defeat a wave of elite Fangs, and the last is a riddle-based lever puzzle. For the platforming, patience is key – watch the patterns. For the elite Fangs, use everything you've learned about their weaknesses. For the riddle, pay close attention to the inscriptions on the altar itself – they provide cryptic clues about the correct lever sequence. Once you place all three Moonstone Runes on the altar, a secret passage will open, leading to the boss arena. The Grand Finale: Beating the Elder Fang And now for the main event: the 'Elder Fang' boss battle! This guy is no joke. He has three distinct phases. In Phase 1, he'll mainly use sweeping claw attacks and a cone-shaped sonic roar. Stay close but be ready to dodge through his attacks. Phase 2 introduces summoned 'Fang Pups' and a ground-slam attack that creates shockwaves. Deal with the pups quickly to avoid being swarmed, and jump over the shockwaves. Phase 3 is the toughest: he becomes enraged, his attacks are faster, and he gains a terrifying lunge attack. This is when I recommend unleashing your most powerful abilities and consumables. Focus on hitting his exposed head after he misses a lunge. I used health potions liberally and kept my best damage-over-time spells active. Stick to dodging, look for those openings, and don't get greedy with your attacks. With perseverance, you'll bring down the Elder Fang and claim your hard-earned victory, along with some sweet, sweet loot!
