This book is a Disney retelling where the villain gets the girl. Venessa does the dirty work for her uncle and one day while looking for her cousin Aria they stumble upon a man, Enzo, washed up on shore. While Vanessa saves him she doesn't want him knowing so they let Aria take the hero role. They are both part of a Mafia family so the families arrange a marriage between Enzo and Aria. But when Enzo sees Vanessa for the first time it's instant attraction. He is super protective of Vanessa. Very much "you touch her you're 💀." I absolutely love Enzo. I love their attraction and the spice is spicing 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. This is a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. But really Emily McIntire doesn't make a bad book. I have one more book of hers to go before I'm done with this series.
