Shopping at Meijer with coupons can really add up to great savings if you plan carefully to take advantage of multiple promotions and digital coupons. In this haul, the shopper managed to save $38.44 off a retail total of $69.93, thanks to stacking digital coupons with Meijer's Buy 5 Save $5 promotion and pet purchase deals. However, one challenge noted was the Buy 5 Save $5 offer not triggering due to an out-of-stock item, which meant the shopper lost $4 in savings on Purex detergent because their backup item was not substituted. This experience highlights an important tip for coupon shoppers: always check stock availability or ask staff if backups can be substituted before completing your purchase to trigger bundle promotions. Also, personalized digital coupons offered additional discounts on items like Mission Wraps, Stok Cold Brew Coffee, and Franklin Farms Tofu Kit, underscoring the value of tailoring digital savings through loyalty programs. The pet purchase deals were particularly beneficial, with BOGO (Buy One Get One) digital coupons on brands like I and Love and You for both wet cat food and dog meal enhancers, as well as JustFoodForDogs JustFresh dog food. These deals helped reduce the pet food subtotal significantly, combined with a $3 off $25 personalized coupon. Pet owners should check for these special savings often, as they can really lower monthly pet care costs. Another notable saving was on household essentials like Meijer Cotton Swabs obtained free through a personalized digital coupon, which shows how essential item deals can sneak into your haul and drive total savings higher. If you want to repeat this kind of successful haul, consider the following tips based on this shopping experience: 1) Load all possible digital coupons onto your Meijer mPerks account before shopping; 2) Build your shopping list around Buy 5 Save $5 categories to maximize savings, but have backup products ready; 3) Shop pet supplies when there are BOGO deals plus extra promotional coupons to save big; 4) Check stock availability at pickup or in-store so your promotions trigger properly; 5) Always review your receipt promo deductions and earned points to monitor savings and rewards. Ultimately, couponing at Meijer can yield substantial savings when you combine multiple promotions, especially via digital coupons and personalized offers. This haul shows a real-life example of how methodical coupon use cuts grocery bills in half or more while also earning reward points for future use.
