My quick & easy Sunday night skincare routine - I know all the gurus say you need a 12 or 15 step routine to have great skin but honestly all you really need are a few good products and keep it simple!
I start out removing my makeup with my Garnier Micellar water on a makeup eraser. I’ve been using this micellar water for yearssss at this point and I think I’ll only ever stop if they discontinue it 🤷🏻♀️
After I take off my makeup, I go in with a cleanser. Tonight’s was Kiehl’s but I like to try different ones so whichever I’m currently working through is the one I’ll use.
Tonight I used my Good Molecules retinol but I switch this step depending on the day. I like to rotate between my retinol, rest, and my BHA exfoliator. Make sure to put a dab of that retinol on the back of your hands and bring it down your neck also!
Then finish it up with a moisturizer! This also changes depending on what I’m trying out. This Kiehl’s is my favorite moisturizer. I have dryer skin and this is so hydrating. I only use it at night because it’s thiccc but it’s amazing!

Using Garnier Micellar Water with a makeup eraser is a gentle and efficient way to remove all traces of makeup without harsh rubbing, which prevents irritation especially on sensitive skin.
After cleansing with a nourishing formula like Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser, I find that my skin feels refreshed but not stripped. This cleanser’s inclusion of emollients such as squalane, apricot kernel oil, and avocado oil helps maintain the skin’s moisture barrier—a must for dry skin types like mine.
Incorporating a retinol product like Good Molecules gentle retinol into the routine a few times a week encourages skin renewal and helps minimize fine lines. I make it a point to apply retinol not only on my face but also on my neck and hands to extend anti-aging benefits. On days I skip retinol, I switch to a BHA exfoliator to clear pores and boost skin texture.
Moisturizing with a rich cream like Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream seals in hydration overnight. Its thick texture initially felt heavy to me, but once absorbed, my skin remains soft and plump by morning. For those with dry or combination skin, such a moisturizer can transform dullness into a radiant glow.
Overall, a simplified routine focused on consistent product quality rather than quantity helps manage skin effectively and keeps it balanced. Tailoring products to your skin concerns and rotating active ingredients like retinol and BHA ensures freshness and reduces the chance of irritation. What works best is balancing gentle cleansing, targeted treatment, and deep moisturizing to wake up with healthy skin every Monday!
