Reflecting on the first month of my year. I’m going to try to post these once a month where I make sure I look back and show appreciation for the little things that happen in life.
I feel like we as a society get so wrapped up in what influencers are doing, and constantly compare our day to day with to theirs. Take the time to romanticize YOUR LIFE. Because you’re the only one who gets to live it, and that’s a beautiful thing.
In a world that often highlights the extraordinary, it's essential to find joy in the mundane. Everyday moments like sharing a meal, enjoying a simple dessert, or decorating a new space can bring immense happiness. This past January, I celebrated the small yet special occurrences in my life, such as enjoying a delightful coquette salmon tartare or shopping for home essentials at IKEA. Each little moment contributed to a beautiful feeling of gratitude. Moreover, social media can sometimes make us feel inadequate by showcasing carefully curated lives. Instead of comparing ourselves with influencers, we should turn our focus inward and appreciate our unique journeys. Reflecting on our experiences and highlighting these little moments can cultivate a richer, more joyful perspective on life. So, let’s take a step back and learn to appreciate the beauty found in our daily routines!
