Here's how I acheive a 10+ day wear every single time⬇️

1. Correct sizing- I like them to just barely fit my nail bed. Fit the cuticles and make sure, no true nail is showing and not touching the skin around my nail bed.

2. Nail prep (rubbing alcohol alone is not nail prep-always use a dehyrdrator or 100% acetone) I’ll even apply it to the undersides of my press-ons! You may have to apply more than 1 layer to your nail beds!

3. Apply glue using a technique, it's more "HOW" you apply then the actual glue itself. MORE glue LESS pressure for atleast 90 seconds.

4. Good quality press on that will not snag my hair!

When you've mastered those 4 things⬆️ - you will get "atleast" a 1-2 week wear every single time.

... Read moreHaving struggled with press-on nails not lasting long in the past, I can confidently say that mastering the application process is a game-changer. One important trick I've found helpful is ensuring the press-ons fit snugly to the nail bed without touching the surrounding skin—this prevents lifting and premature peeling. Another tip is not to rely solely on rubbing alcohol for prep. Using a nail dehydrator or 100% acetone thoroughly removes natural oils and moisture, which greatly improves glue adhesion. I even apply the prep product to the undersides of the press-ons for an extra secure bond. When applying glue, a generous amount combined with gentle press-and-hold pressure for at least 90 seconds makes a noticeable difference in longevity. It's about how you apply the glue more than the brand or type you use. Over time, I realized that pressing too hard actually reduces durability. I also recommend investing in good quality press-on nails made with smooth edges so they don't snag on hair or fabric—this can cause discomfort and damage the nail quickly. Prioritize luxury or higher-end brands if possible, as their materials and craftsmanship tend to hold up better. If you've faced issues with nails not sticking well, try the trick of layering your nail prep step and ensuring glue application technique is precise. These small adjustments helped me achieve consistent 10+ day wear, making press-ons a practical and stylish alternative to salon manicures. Don't forget to keep your nails moisturized in between wears, which helps maintain natural nail health under the press-ons. With patience and practice, anyone can master this method for flawless, durable press-on nails.
