Tahoe & I

Another Throw Back!

I was a Crown Royal Girl for 8 years. I met Fallon Taylor there the year before, and that’s what lit my fire, I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but I wanted to race with the big dogs like her. All I had was my red mare Baby Tahoe, now known as Mama Tahoe.

My final year as a Crown Royal Girl, I rode Tahoe and carried the Crown Royal Flag at the Red Bluff Round Up! My spicy red mare was the only one that I knew who could do the job!

I wanted to leave the modeling community with a bang, and I did it my way!

This is when I said I am done being a model, and I am going to go after my heart’s desire, to be a Barrel Racer.

My favorite promotion was The Red Bluff Rodeo, and now I have competed against the best in the world there. I have raced on Tahoe there and Maui.

I never looked back, I went all in. I took classes in college, I read many book, watched many videos, went to clinics. I am also blessed to be under the guidance of my Mom & Dad, along with my Sister.

I am grateful for this Red Mare, she has taught me so much and has allowed me to take on horses that no one saw potential in, and I get to fly on them. She was all I had and I had a dream, and she still carries me today if I need her.

I am glad that I get to use my marketing skills for what my heart desires. I am using my education to what my heart desires. I am glad that I went after what my heart desires.

I have been blessed with many great horses that I had to make. They are all that I have and I made them into great horses to help me become who I am, and helped me level up to the next horse.

I love this picture, because I knew, I was walking away from modeling and diving into the family business.

Becoming a great horsewoman. Keeping the horses alive , thriving and having them become more than they were expected to be. All of my horses have been trained in the memory of my first great horse Mama Irish. That mare continued my fire to make all of my horses as good as her.

Thank Goodness for great Horses! #horse #model #cowgirls #quarterhorse

The Red Bluff Round-Up, a renowned rodeo event, serves as a symbolic and physical stage where Kim made her final ride as a Crown Royal Girl and boldly stepped into the demanding world of barrel racing. Barrel racing is a fast-paced rodeo event requiring incredible skill, precision, and a deep bond between horse and rider. Kim’s commitment to this sport led her to invest in education and training, not only in practical riding clinics but also by learning through books and videos, further highlighting the dedication needed to compete with top athletes in the field. Her red mare, known as Baby Tahoe and now Mama Tahoe, was the perfect partner in her pursuit. A horse’s temperament, training, and spirit make all the difference in barrel racing, and Kim credits Tahoe’s spunk and reliability for carrying her through many competitions.
