April Ratings

Bad blood 4/5- this is such a fun read, sometimes I do want a break from reading romance and just want to feel like a detective solving crime you know. There is a bit romance but that’s not at all the plot of the story and even if you finish this book there’s a short novella called twelve so the rating is for both stories in one book

Saving rain 2/5- it’s a sad romantic story, don’t get me wrong I love reading any type of book so that’s not the reason for a low rating it’s just that there’s no yearning it just felt so fast pace the writing isn’t it. And the chemistry between the MMC and the FMC it felt so rushed you wouldn’t even think they have any type of chemistry

Two Twisted Crowns 5/5- absolutely amazing!!! Nightmare my favorite creature 😭 and idk what it is and I know a lot of people don’t like it but I love multiple POVs I just love knowing what other people are thinking, how they are feeling and what the situation is. The spice I would say 3/5 it’s really not that spicy but it’s more like yearning like I said amazing book

... Read moreReading diverse genres in a single month can be quite refreshing, and April’s book lineup truly offers variety for different moods and tastes. For instance, 'Bad Blood' stands out as a thrilling crime novel with a touch of romance that doesn’t overpower the story. I found it incredibly engaging to play detective alongside the characters. The added novella 'Twelve' that accompanies the main story is a delightful bonus, enriching the overall experience. This combination keeps readers on their toes and offers an intriguing mix of mystery and character depth. In contrast, 'Saving Rain' leans heavily into romantic tragedy but felt a bit rushed in pace and emotional connection for me. Sometimes, a romantic story needs that slow build-up to truly create that yearning and chemistry between characters, and this one fell short in that aspect. However, for readers who appreciate quick, emotional stories, it might still resonate. On the other hand, 'Two Twisted Crowns' completely captivated me, especially with its use of multiple points of view. I appreciate how understanding different characters’ thoughts and feelings adds complexity to the narrative. Not everyone enjoys multiple POVs, but it really deepened my engagement with the story’s twists and character motivations. The spice level was moderate, more about longing than explicit scenes, which suits readers who prefer emotional tension over intensity. Overall, when looking for your next book, consider what kind of experience you want. If you crave crime-solving excitement with a sprinkle of romance, 'Bad Blood' is an excellent choice. For emotional romantic drama, 'Saving Rain' offers a quick, sad tale. And if you love multifaceted storytelling with rich character insight, 'Two Twisted Crowns' is highly recommended. These reflections personal to my reading journey might help others sift through April’s releases and find books that resonate with varied preferences, making each reading session fulfilling and enjoyable.
