Let’s talk Jellycats! Part.1
PLEASE DO NOT HATE MY SOUL FOR HAVING A DIFFERENT OPINION!!!
I know I made a post about this about a week ago and it went viral so I decided to talk about it again but this time more in depth😋
I’ll have three parts to this since I couldn’t fit it all in one video!
If you have any ideas for content I should start posting please comment below!!!😁
Also these are just some ideas, I don’t really hate any jellycat but I think some are less likable then others to me!
Hey everyone, it's me again! After my last post went wild, I knew I had to dive deeper into the world of Jellycats and share even more of my unfiltered thoughts. This is Part 1 of my series, where I'll be getting ready with you while we chat about some of my favorite (and not-so-favorite) plushies. It’s all about embracing those unpopular opinions and celebrating what makes our collections unique! Let’s start with some of the more popular items. While I adore the quirky charm of many Amuseables, like the super soft 'Amuseable Cloud' – seriously, it’s like hugging a fluffy dream and it's a constant comfort – some just don't hit the mark for me. Take the 'Jellycat Amuseables Pretzel' toy, for instance. It’s cute, yes, and I can see why it’s a fun gift idea, especially at 7 inches, but for a food plush, I feel like there are other options that bring more joy and character. It’s all about personal connection, right? And when it comes to the Fuddlewuddle line, the 'Jellycat Fuddlewuddle Elephant' is a classic children’s gift for a reason – those medium 9-inch floppy ears are just too precious and give the plushie so much personality! Now for some of my more, shall we say, strong opinions. I know I mentioned my feelings about the overly popular 'peanut' Jellycat in my video – and honestly, I stand by it! While I see the appeal of its simplicity for some, I just don't connect with it as much as I do with more detailed characters. It's like, do we seriously need an army of them? And let's not even start on the 'rat' plushie. I've seen it pop up in so many collections, but for me, it's a hard pass. I prefer my plushies to have a bit more whimsy or cuteness than what I perceive as a 'ghetto rat' vibe. No offense to those who love it, but some things just aren't for everyone! But on the flip side, my heart absolutely melts for the 'Sand Castle'. The little shells, the perfectly textured fabric – it’s pure perfection and instantly transports me to a sunny beach. It's truly a unique piece that stands out in my collection. It’s these standout pieces that make collecting so rewarding. Speaking of unique, the query 'is heart dragon jellycat rare' comes up a lot, and for good reason! Limited editions and retired designs like the Heart Dragon definitely become highly sought after by collectors. If you're on the hunt for these elusive gems, keeping an eye on Jellycat’s official retirement lists or delving into 'online communities and forums' is key. These communities are amazing resources for discovering rare finds, getting honest reviews (like mine!), and connecting with fellow collectors. There are fantastic Facebook groups and active Reddit subreddits where people share their hauls, ask for identification help, and even organize trades. It's also where you'll often see discussions around popular (or unpopular!) plushies, like those strong opinions that add so much fun to the collecting experience! It's always exciting to think about 'new Jellycats' coming out, whether it's for 2026 or just the next season! To stay ahead of the curve, I always follow Jellycat’s official social media channels and sign up for newsletters from my favorite stockists. Sometimes, collector forums even get early peeks or rumors, which is super fun to follow. Collecting Jellycats is such a personal journey, and what one person adores, another might not connect with – and that’s totally okay! What are your absolute must-have Jellycats? And which ones do you secretly wish would stay off your shelf? Let me know below!
