[Nakajima Ding Park/Yawata Du Hall]
It was once a garden of 'Tensho Sake Brewery' that was built along National Route 48, and was called 'Tensho-en' and it is a garden with a tea room set up in Kyoto style by the Tenko family who runs Tensho Sake Brewery while making use of the residential forest of the samurai residence. In 1992, it was awarded the Sendai City Urban Landscape Award as' one of the few heritage sites that conveys the original scenery of the former forest capital to the present. '
Tensho Shuzo, which has been popular with local people for over 200 years since its establishment, was relocated to Kawasaki-cho, Shibata-gun, Miyagi Prefecture in 2004 (2004), and these stately buildings were regretted being demolished, and as a result of repeated discussions between Aoba-ku, Sendai City and the Yawata District Community Development Council, it was agreed that although Sendai Aoba-ku would purchase, maintain, and relocate the park and buildings, local residents would voluntarily manage and operate them.
For Nakajima-cho Park, "Nakajima-cho Park Protection Association" was formed, and for Yawata-mori-no-Yakata, "Yawata-mori-no-Yakata Management Committee" was formed and is in charge of that.
