Summer Solstice🌟

Summer Solstice

Tonight marks the summer solstice — the longest day of the year and a beautiful reminder of the light of our Creator. ☀️

As the sun sets on this longest day, I’m reminded that even the brightest earthly light will fade… but the light of Jesus never does.

Some of you are walking through beautiful seasons. Some are walking through hard ones. Some are carrying burdens no one else can see.

Wherever you are tonight, remember this: God sees you. God is with you. God has not forgotten you.

The same God who painted this sky with beauty is still writing your story with purpose.

Even when life feels uncertain… Even when the path feels long… His light still leads.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid?” — Psalm 27:1 (NLT)

Tonight, take a moment. Step outside. Look at the sky. Breathe. Pray. Thank Him for His faithfulness.

Let this be your reminder: The Son still rises. Mercy is still new. Hope is still alive.

Goodnight, friends.

Stay close to the Shepherd. 🤍

... Read moreThe Summer Solstice is an extraordinary natural event that offers more than just the longest daylight of the year—it invites us to pause and reflect on the light in our lives, both physical and spiritual. Personally, I've found that the symbolism of this day mirrors the journey we all walk: sometimes basking in moments of warmth and clarity, and at other times moving through shadows and challenges. On this day, when the sun's light stretches longer than any other, it’s comforting to remember the message this post shares: earthly lights will fade, but the spiritual light of Jesus remains constant and guiding. This resonates deeply when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. I encourage you to take the suggestion and step outside tonight to witness the sky’s beauty. Let the enduring light of the sun remind you of God’s faithfulness, mercy, and hope—always present no matter what burdens you carry. The verse from Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid?” is a powerful affirmation that has helped me release fear and embrace courage. Just as the passage from Psalm 118:24 in the OCR content celebrates rejoicing in the day the Lord has made, this solstice can be a moment to celebrate God’s enduring love and to renew your trust in His plan. In my own experiences, these reflections have transformed difficult evenings into peaceful moments of prayer and gratitude. I find that embracing such spiritual practices during celestial events like the summer solstice not only enriches my faith but also renews my sense of purpose and belonging. May you also find hope as the sun sets on this longest day, knowing that the light of the world continues to shine within and around you.
