my spring “smell good” rotation🌸

disclaimer: since i have eczema i don’t wear these everyday.

Perfume: Idôle Eau de Parfum by Lancôme. its got floral scents, citrus, and white musks. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. i’ve gotten so many compliments whenever i wear her. it def give grown and sexy but not like old lady if that makes sense 😆

Lotion: Coconut Waters by EOS.

I have the vanilla cashmere by them which I also love but that felt more like a fall/winter vibe to me. this one is so fun and pairs perfect for spring!

Deodorant: this deodorant is an OG. but she smells soo good. i wear it year round when i wear deodorant but it goes beautifully with all these scents.

... Read moreOkay, so let's talk about the unsung hero of any great 'smell good' routine: deodorant! The original post briefly mentioned my go-to, but seriously, finding the right one can be a game-changer, especially for sensitive skin like mine (hello, eczema!). I've been on a bit of a journey with deodorants, trying to find something effective yet gentle. For a long time, my classic trusty was the Dove cucumber & green tea scent. You know the one – it offers 48h odor protection and just smells so fresh and clean, perfect for spring! It blends seamlessly with so many perfumes, including my beloved Idôle Eau de Parfum by Lancôme. However, I’ve also been exploring aluminum-free options. The OCR mentioned some 'ALUMINUM FREE' options, and I totally agree that more people are looking into this. If you're curious about making the switch, it's worth it! It might take your body a week or two to adjust, but many people find it's better for their skin in the long run. I've tried a few, and while some didn't hold up, others, like certain 'evolution of smooth shea better' options, have been surprisingly effective at keeping me feeling fresh all day without irritation. Look for descriptions like 'natural' and 'made for sensitive skin' – these are usually good indicators. When choosing a deodorant, especially if you have sensitive skin or eczema, always look for phrases like 'natural,' 'made for sensitive skin,' or 'dermatologist-tested.' Ingredients like shea butter, found in many body lotions (like my beloved EOS Coconut Waters!), can also be great in deodorants for added moisture and soothing, preventing that dry, uncomfortable feeling. The EOS Coconut Waters body lotion, with its 7 nourishing oils + butters, is a perfect example of what to look for in moisturizing products, and it comes in a generous 16 FL.OZ. size! Another tip? Think about how your deodorant scent pairs with your perfume and lotion. My Dove cucumber & green tea works because it's subtle and universally fresh. If you're wearing a strong floral perfume like Lancôme Idôle, you might want a neutral or complementary deodorant. Or, if you're going for a full coconut vibe with the EOS Coconut Waters lotion, a coconut-scented deodorant would be divine! It's all about creating that cohesive 'smell good' aura. Don't be afraid to experiment to find what works best for your body chemistry and lifestyle. Whether you stick with tried-and-true brands offering 48h odor protection or venture into the world of aluminum-free, the goal is to feel confident and fresh from head to toe. It’s all part of creating that perfectly layered 'smell good' experience!
