If you are looking for a cool, safe, relaxed and fun place to travel in 2025, I recommend San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. A small town full of life on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, just under an hour from the closest border crossing to Costa Rica.
I visit this beautiful place at least once a year.
There is so much natural beauty all around it, beaches, volcanoes near by, natural lakes and rivers, wildlife, amazing tropical weather.
and plenty of paces to hangout at night. restaurants, bars, nightclubs.

2: On the way to San Juan stop at, Laguna de Apoyo.
The Apoyo Lagoon Natural Reserve protects a volcanic lake occupying the caldera of an extinct volcano. It covers a tropical dry forest ecosystem with a flora covering over 500 species of plants and tropical dry trees. The fauna consists of mammals such as squirrels, opossums and howler monkeys, over 200 species of birds, and more than 200 species of butterflies.
