My thoughts on chasing your dream 😉🥹😉

People love to criticise chasing your dreams when you’re older, but I think the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

1. Maturity

When you’re older, you’re usually not doing it because someone told you to. You’re doing it because you’ve sat with it, thought about it, and decided it’s worth the risk.

That kind of conviction is powerful.

2. Resources

With age comes resources.

Money, equipment, connections, transferable skills, life experience. All of these make a difference. Most people simply have more to work with at 35 than they did at 20.

3. Support

Speaking of connections, you’ve probably figured out who your people are by now.

The ones who show up. The ones who cheer for you. The ones who support your dreams instead of disguising discouragement as concern.

The ones who say, “I believe in you.”

People often say it’s too late. I disagree.

Sometimes starting later just means you’re walking in with your eyes wide open.

... Read moreChasing dreams at 35 or beyond offers a unique perspective that younger dreamers may not have. Through personal experience, I've realized that maturity plays a crucial role. At this stage, decisions to pursue aspirations come from deep reflection, not from external pressure. This conviction fuels perseverance even when challenges arise. Additionally, having grown older means having more resources available. Beyond just finances, it's about the skills and connections accumulated over time. These assets make the journey more feasible and less daunting compared to starting from scratch in youth. For example, transferable skills gained from previous work or life experiences can accelerate progress toward new goals. Support systems are often clearer in midlife, which is another critical factor. Over time, you identify who genuinely encourages you and believes in your vision. This network provides emotional reinforcement that can sustain motivation during setbacks. An inspiring real-life note comes from stories like those pursuing modeling dreams at 35, balancing sacrifices to support loved ones while chasing personal goals. These narratives highlight that age is less a barrier and more a gateway to pursuing passions with open eyes and a prepared heart. In summary, pursuing dreams later in life is not only valid but often advantageous. It's about embracing the wisdom, stability, and network built over years, making the journey richer and more likely to succeed than ever before.

Are you chasing the Singaporean dream?🧐
Hey zesties 🍋! It’s been awhile. I hope everyone’s doing well. Now that I’ve worked for a year, been in a relationship for 3 years after graduating from University for about 1 year 4 months, it seems like I had it all in place. This is, however, not what it seems. Inside, I’m truly a girl trappe

I chased “success” harder than God

I don’t have a dream job but…
I used to chase the idea of a dream job until I realised happiness isn’t found in a job. It’s built in the life you create around it. Financial planning is the foundation for that life. It’s not about chasing wealth. It’s about clarity, freedom, and choice to design the life you truly want.
