Chrysanthemum matcha latte recipe 🌼🍵

Saw a recipe for this recently and decided to chang it up a little! It's similar to an osmanthus matcha drink at this JB cafe called keijomoto and the floral notes of the chrysanthemum pairs really well with the matcha! I recommend using normal chrysanthemum tea though! I couldn't find normal chrysanthemum tea for this recipe so sadly I had to make do.. but I think the chrysanthemum tea from Yeo's would work well!

As a cold matcha it's really refreshing for hot days in Singapore as well, but do remember to use a floral based matcha that's not too strong so that the matcha wouldn't cover up the taste of the chrsyanthemum tea!

Do try out this recipe and let me know how it tastes! Personally I really love it!

... Read moreI've tried this chrysanthemum matcha latte recipe myself, and one key tip I found is to choose a floral and mild matcha like Shin rather than stronger types such as Yuko. This allows the chrysanthemum's subtle fragrance to stand out without being overwhelmed by the matcha's earthiness. Using a good quality chrysanthemum tea, such as those from Yeo's or other trusted brands, really enhances the floral aroma and brings out the sweet, slightly herbal notes in the drink. For the milk component, oat milk works wonderfully as a plant-based option; it adds a natural creaminess and complements the botanical flavors of the latte. When preparing the drink cold, it's incredibly refreshing during Singapore's hot weather, but you can also enjoy it warm for a comforting beverage. I learned that pouring matcha carefully is important to avoid clumps and ensure smooth blending. Overall, the combination of chrysanthemum tea and a delicate floral matcha creates a beautiful balance that’s both soothing and revitalizing. If you want to experiment further, try adjusting the tea-to-matcha ratio and milk choice to suit your taste—each tweak will reveal a different aspect of flavor. This latte is a great way to enjoy matcha in a new, fragrant way and makes for a calming ritual any time of day.
