Soโฆ I have a new obsession thatโs quickly taken over my life ๐ฌ. Be kind pleaseโฆ This is day one of learning to spin/wield the lightsaber. I have a long way to go but I really am having a blast learning. I also quickly found out that my Darth Maul saber is too long for me even with 26 inch tubes, which is why Iโm in boots here lol ๐. It also has some serious weight to it so 4 hours of practice definitely was a workout ๐ฎโ๐จ. So, I have a new performance saber on the way thatโs actually fitted for someone who is fun-sized like me ๐ . Iโll be practicing with a staff in the meantime but still messing with my Darth Maul because I do love it. #starwars #lightsaber #lightsaberspinning #thisistheway #maytheforcebewithyou
Starting to learn lightsaber spinning is an exciting but challenging experience, especially when you're using a saber thatโs not quite the right fit. I can totally relate to the struggle with handling a heavy or oversized saber. From personal experience, the weight and length can make it tough to master the moves initially and even feel overwhelming after a few hours of practice. One tip I found helpful is to start with a practice staff or a lighter, more balanced saber designed for beginners. This allows you to build up your wrist strength and coordination gradually without risking injury or frustration. Itโs also important to pace yourself; breaks during a four-hour practice session can help prevent fatigue and keep your enthusiasm alive. Iโve found that customizing or choosing a performance saber tailored to your size and skill level can hugely improve your experience. It makes the spinning feel more natural and comfortable, which is essential when learning new techniques. Donโt be surprised if your practice feels more like a workout at firstโlight saber spinning combines cardio, strength, and coordination. Itโs a fantastic way to stay active while indulging in your Star Wars passion. Plus, the community around lightsaber spinning is welcoming and inspiring, full of helpful advice for beginners. Remember, the journey is just as fun as the destination. Embrace the learning curve, enjoy the process, and may the Force be with you on your spinning adventure!
