The girl who thought she failed at 85 questions just became a Nationally Registered EMT 🚑🥹 #NREMT #EMT #BlackGirlsInEMS #EMSLife #PassedNREMT
Becoming a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) is truly a milestone that marks the beginning of a rewarding career in emergency medical services. The exam is known for its rigor, and many candidates, including myself, can feel overwhelmed, especially when facing a large number of questions like 85 or more. Initially, I doubted my performance, but the joy of passing was unmatched. Once you receive your NREMT certification, it's important to proudly display it. Adding "NREMT" after your name not only acknowledges your hard work but also builds your professional credibility in the EMS field. I found purchasing the official patches, decals, and merchandise from the National Registry's website enhances both my uniform and confidence when on duty. The National Registry also offers a free mobile app, which I started using immediately after certification. This app makes it easy to carry a digital copy of your certification card and manage continuing education credits efficiently. It’s a handy tool that helps keep your credentials up to date and accessible anytime, anywhere. Moreover, being a part of communities such as #BlackGirlsInEMS and #EMSLife opens doors for networking and support from others who understand the challenges and triumphs of the EMS profession. Sharing achievements and stories through these communities motivates me and others on this journey. If you’re preparing for your NREMT exam or recently passed it, remember this achievement represents more than just a test passed — it’s your commitment to saving lives and serving your community. Stay motivated by celebrating these milestones, continuously seeking learning opportunities, and embracing your new professional identity proudly.
