Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share a deeper dive into some of my favorite Bible study notes, especially from Ephesians 3, and connect them with the powerful season of Lent. It's truly amazing how understanding God's Word can transform our lives, giving us both comfort and strength when we need it most. My notes on Ephesians 3 have been a lifeline for me, especially verses like 3:8-12, where it talks about the confidence we have to approach God through Christ. Honestly, there have been times when I’ve felt completely unworthy or unsure of myself. But meditating on these verses reminds me that it’s not about my worthiness, but about what Christ has already done. He gives us direct access! This truth really helps to transform my self-esteem and identity, reminding me whose I am. It's not about being perfect, but about being loved and accepted as I am by our Creator. When I feel overwhelmed or weary, remembering God's immeasurable love as described in Ephesians 3:16-19 brings such peace. It's a reminder that His spiritual power is at work within us, strengthening our inner being and grounding us in His love, even when life feels chaotic. Speaking of seeking God's presence and restoration, let's talk about Lent! I know some of you might be wondering, "What exactly is Lent, and why is it meaningful?" For me, Lent is a beautiful 40-day journey leading up to Easter, a time for deep reflection, repentance, and intentionally drawing closer to God. It’s not just about giving something up, although that can be a powerful discipline. It’s more about creating space for spiritual growth and cultivating a deeper relationship with Him. Just like my notes on Ephesians 2:22-22 remind me about God's presence through the Holy Spirit and the restoration of our relationship with humankind after sin, Lent offers a concentrated period to focus on that restoration in a personal way. During Lent, I often try to adopt a new spiritual practice or focus more intently on prayer. It perfectly aligns with those notes I have on Matthew 6:5-8, which encourages simple, daily prayer. You don’t need grand, eloquent words; just five minutes of consistent, open conversation with God can make a huge difference in building that relationship. This consistent prayer, combined with reflecting on God's boundless love and power—as highlighted in Ephesians 3:20-21, where He can do far more abundantly than all we ask or imagine—helps me truly lean into His omnipotence. It's a season to confront areas where we might have drifted, and to invite God back in to renew and refresh our spirits. It's about remembering that God’s intimate care for individuals, His majesty, and His power as creator are always available to us, especially when we intentionally seek Him.
