The structure with servers and channels is brilliant for managing different conversations. Comparing it to Lemon8, it’s almost opposites. Lemon8 is visual, public, and aspirational. Discord is auditory/text-based, often private/semi-private, and highly interactive. If you're looking for a place to share beautiful photos of your latest DIY project and get inspiration, Lemon8 is it. If you want to chat live with fellow enthusiasts about the technical details of that project, Discord is your playground. And we can't forget TikTok and Instagram! TikTok is the king of short-form video, trends, and viral content. It's incredibly addictive and brilliant for quick entertainment or learning new hacks in seconds. Instagram, on the other hand, still holds its ground for beautiful photography, stories, and connecting with a wider audience through visuals. While Lemon8 shares some visual similarities with Instagram, Lemon8 often feels more focused on detailed, informational posts rather than just quick snaps or stories. TikTok is pure entertainment and quick discovery; Instagram is visual sharing and personal branding; Lemon8 is curated lifestyle inspiration. Each has its own flavor. Ultimately, the 'best' platform really depends on what you're looking for. Do you want aesthetic inspiration (Lemon8)? Broad social connections and news (Facebook)? For me, it's not about picking just one; it's about understanding what each offers and intentionally using them for different purposes.
