Today my baby is 1 ðŸ˜
last year I gave birth to Josiah 🩵 my lucky number 7. He was my very first emergency c-section. What a lot of people know and don’t know is that he was born 1 day before the 1 year anniversary of my moms passing. That was the hardest delivery I ever had knowing she wasn’t here for me. She wouldn’t get to meet him. But at the same time, what are the odds that he would be born during one of the hardest times of my life. During a time of mourning I’ve still been given hope. And my moms name was Hope. #onthisday #birthday #hope #birth #joy
Marking my baby's first birthday has been profoundly emotional. Josiah’s birth, an emergency c-section, happened under very tough circumstances—just one day before the anniversary of my mom’s passing. Losing her was the hardest part of my journey; she wouldn’t get to meet her grandson, and I felt immense sadness during delivery. Yet amidst the grief, I found unexpected strength and hope, especially since my mom’s name was Hope. Having a child during such a difficult time taught me valuable lessons about resilience and the power of love. The experience reminded me that joy and sorrow often coexist. Celebrating Josiah’s birthday feels like honoring both loss and new beginnings. It’s a reminder that even in our darkest moments, hope can be born anew. For parents facing similar hardships, I want to share that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed yet find light in the little milestones. Your journey through birth and healing is unique but shared by many who have experienced loss alongside life's miracles. Keeping memories alive while embracing your child’s growth can bring comfort and a renewed sense of purpose. Josiah’s birthdate, Feb 16, 2025, holds deep significance for me and will always symbolize hope and resilience. This personal story illustrates how moments of mourning can eventually give way to moments of pure joy—something every parent, especially those coping with loss, may relate to deeply.
