My plant Big Palma is upset with me.
Trust me.. my plant is special so save it!
They are just offended that I have missed special water days.
I cut off some of their friends..
And I think they’re still sobbing over the dead limb that I trimmed off…I know she/they wanted to keep them.
Now they don’t give a damn about my songs rn. 🥹🥺

Taking care of a Big Palma plant can sometimes feel like managing a sensitive relationship. I've found that these tropical beauties thrive best with consistent care, especially when it comes to watering and pruning. Missing a watering day can upset your plant, as they rely on regular moisture to stay vibrant and healthy. To avoid this, I set reminders on my phone and keep a watering journal to track their needs. Pruning is another important aspect. Cutting off dead or damaged limbs encourages new growth but doing it too harshly or too often can stress your plant. I learned this the hard way when I trimmed a tired leaf that my Big Palma seemed attached to—they definitely weren’t thrilled at first! To ease the plant's 'distress,' I talk to it and make sure it gets plenty of light and warmth to recover. I've also noticed that playing soft music around the plant creates a calming environment, although after a missed watering, I think Big Palma tunes me out! It’s fascinating how plants can respond to their care environment in subtle ways. If you’re a #plantmom like me, it’s important to understand your plant's personality and needs. Regularly check for signs of stress such as drooping leaves or discoloration, and adjust your care routine accordingly. And remember, patience and consistency are key—just like any relationship, your Big Palma appreciates your attention and care, and will reward you with lush, vibrant growth.
