For my big bust girlies
New chest size new life lol. Hi my name is Esme and I’m new here on lemon8. I recently went from a D to a triple D! I’m struggling to find tops that suit me best. Throughout this year I have gained weight and haven’t really gone out cuz of it but I want to stop hating myself. BUT it’s hard to when nothing is fitting me anymore. I get discouraged but I still have hope to find things that look good on me. Yall have any advice on what kind of tops go best? Also bra brands too?
Okay, girlies, since we're all navigating this big bust journey together, I wanted to dive a little deeper into what's actually worked for me and some tips I've picked up along the way. Finding clothes to fit a big bust can feel like a mission, but with a few tricks, it gets so much easier. Let's talk tops that suit big busts. One style I've found incredibly flattering are V-neck and scoop neck tops. They help to elongate your neckline and draw the eye upwards, rather than adding bulk to your chest. Wrap tops are another absolute lifesaver! They cinch at the waist, giving you an hourglass silhouette, and are super adjustable, which is amazing for accommodating a fuller figure. I also adore peplum tops; they define your waist perfectly before flaring out, which is fantastic for balancing proportions and avoiding that 'boxy' look. Remember that cute off-the-shoulder ruched crop top I was trying on in the dressing room? While crop tops can be a bit intimidating with a larger chest, the off-the-shoulder style actually works wonders because it highlights your collarbones and shoulders, diverting attention from the bust itself. For tricky styles like that, or when you want to go strapless, this is where sticky bras and fashion tape become your best friends! Seriously, invest in good quality ones – they can transform an outfit. I've found that a well-placed strip of fashion tape can keep a delicate neckline from gapping or a strapless top from slipping, especially when you're rocking a fuller bust. Now, onto bras. This is probably the most crucial part of busty women's fashion. A well-fitting bra can literally change how your clothes hang and how you feel. Don't be afraid to get professionally fitted! I learned that a good full-coverage bra with strong side support is a game-changer for daily wear. For those times you need a lift without adding volume, a balconette bra can be lovely. And for active days, a high-impact sports bra is non-negotiable. When trying on bras, always check that the band is firm and the cups encapsulate everything without spillage underneath or on the sides. Fabrics matter too! Stretchy, breathable materials like jersey or knit blends tend to drape better and are more forgiving than stiff fabrics. Avoid anything too voluminous or with excessive ruffles around the bust area, unless it's strategically placed. Sometimes, less is truly more when it comes to styling a big chest. I hope these extra tips make your shopping trips a little less daunting and a lot more fun. It's all about finding what makes you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. We've got this, girlies!
