My cats act paranoid after they had catnip
My cats after eating and rolling in catnip, they are acting so paranoid. I think it's some really potent catnip because they seem to be feeling pretty good. They must think that the lamp is the twilight zone. I wonder what they are seeing up in there. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 😂
I'll just let them enjoy their bzzzzz!

Catnip, a member of the mint family, is a natural herb that affects many cats' behavior. After exposure, cats may exhibit playful or even paranoid responses due to compounds like nepetalactone, which can trigger excitement and euphoria. Many cat owners have witnessed their feline friends' quirky antics post-catnip, ranging from rolling around to chasing invisible prey. These reactions are temporary and showcase how catnip affects the feline brain, often leading to bouts of playfulness followed by a sense of relaxation. The duration and intensity of these reactions can vary greatly depending on the individual cat. While some felines may lose themselves in a frenzy, others might simply enjoy a mellow spell. Importantly, not all cats are sensitive to catnip; studies show that sensitivity can be genetic, with approximately 50-75% of cats responding to it. If you're considering introducing catnip to your pets, it may be beneficial to observe their behavior closely. It’s a fun way to enrich their environment, stimulating both their minds and bodies. Always ensure that catnip is provided in moderation, as too much can overwhelm some cats, leading to overstimulation. Overall, catnip can be a delightful addition to your pet’s playtime, creating memorable moments for both you and your furry companions.
