Endometriosis can never take my skills away from me 👷🏽♂️🔨
Living with endometriosis presents many physical challenges that can impact daily life and work capabilities, especially in physically demanding professions like contracting. From personal experience, I've found that maintaining a strong mindset and adapting work routines are key to managing symptoms and continuing to thrive professionally. Many individuals with endometriosis struggle with pain and fatigue, but it doesn’t have to halt your career or passions. I make it a priority to listen to my body, schedule tasks to allow for rest, and use ergonomic tools where possible to reduce strain. Moreover, seeking support from a community that understands both the complexities of endometriosis and the demands of skilled labor has been invaluable. Endometriosis doesn't take away who I am or my ability to contribute meaningfully as a craftsman. Sharing this journey encourages others facing chronic conditions to focus on their strengths and adaptively overcome obstacles rather than feel limited by their diagnosis. If you’re navigating similar challenges, remember: your skills, passions, and identity surpass any condition. Keep pushing forward with resilience and confidence in your unique path.
