TEAM KNUCKLES ‼️‼️👊
I genuinely loved this movie so much
⭐️Overall rating: 10/10
↪️there are a lot of references and some changes but overall I loved this movie
🤔Cons:
Sonics character felt a little rushed
-so did the fight scenes (not much of an issue for me)
👍Pros :
-would watch again
-very hyped for another movie
-does a great job at keeping the audience engaged
Additional to my experience overall
🎬🍿my movie theater had ran out of the Sonic cups and shadow cups as well as any other merchandise this is expected since I watched this a few days after release
Parking was expensive because LA LIVE doesn’t have free parking
It was my first time coming to this theater so I had no idea parking was separate
(So yes I spent 40 dollars on parking 🫠 🥲)
Other than that I was so excited to see #sonic3
And it was worth watching
Okay, so let's talk more about why 'Team Knuckles' truly stole the show for me in this movie! I mean, seriously, seeing Knuckles step up and evolve was just *chef's kiss*. While my original review mentions some aspects felt a bit rushed, I felt Knuckles' journey, especially with his dynamic with the team, was so well-handled. He wasn't just a sidekick; he had real depth and some incredible moments that had the whole theater cheering. I loved how his personality clashed and complemented everyone else, leading to some genuinely hilarious and heartwarming scenes. Speaking of 'rushed,' I totally get what I meant about Sonic's character feeling a little fast-paced. It felt like they were trying to pack a lot in, and maybe some of his emotional beats didn't quite land as fully as they could have. But honestly, it didn't detract too much from the overall fun. As for the fight scenes, while they could've been a little longer or had more build-up, the choreography and visual effects were still top-notch! Those high-octane sequences were visually stunning, and even if they flew by, they definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I think the quick pace actually added to the feeling of speed and urgency, which is so iconic for Sonic, so maybe it was a stylistic choice? Now, let's chat about the whole movie-going experience, because that's part of the fun, right? My parking situation at LA LIVE was a bit of a nightmare – $40 is no joke! If you're planning a trip to a big city theater, definitely check parking options beforehand. Sometimes, nearby garages or even public transport are way cheaper. And the merchandise hunt? Forget about it! My theater was completely out of Sonic and Shadow cups. If you're hoping to snag some exclusive movie merch, I'd recommend going on opening weekend, or even calling ahead to see if stores near the cinema have stock. Lesson learned for next time! What really made this movie a 10/10 for me, despite those minor cons, was its sheer re-watchability and how engaging it was. I found myself laughing out loud, gasping, and genuinely invested in every character's arc. The references to the games and older cartoons were sprinkled in so perfectly, making it a treat for long-time fans without alienating newcomers. Plus, the ending left me so hyped for another movie! I'm already dreaming up what happens next. Without giving away too much, let's just say there are some exciting possibilities for new characters and storylines that could make the next installment even more incredible. I'm crossing my fingers for even more 'Team Knuckles' action and maybe a deeper dive into some of the new faces we saw. Seriously, if you're on the fence, just go see it! You won't regret it.
