... Read moreI used to believe that giving up on love was a way to protect myself from heartbreak, but the reality is much more complex. There are nights when I lie awake, much like the feelings expressed here—wondering why I’m never enough and trying to understand what’s truly wrong within me. It’s a painful experience that many can relate to, caught between the desire for connection and the fear of being hurt again. What I've found helpful in these moments is to remind myself that healing is not linear. Sometimes, setbacks happen and feelings of loneliness or self-doubt creep back in, even after making progress. It's important to allow ourselves to feel these emotions without judgment and use them as opportunities to learn more about our own needs and boundaries. Connecting with others who share similar feelings or seeking support through friends, counseling, or support groups can be a powerful way to regain a sense of worth and hope. Remember, giving up on love doesn’t mean giving up on yourself. Self-love and acceptance are crucial steps toward opening the heart again, on your own terms, and realizing that you are enough just as you are.
