I hate America

2025/2/22 Edited to

... Read moreYou know that feeling when you scroll through the news, and it feels like the world is just... doing too much? Like, literally going to *****, and you're just sitting there, completely overwhelmed? Yeah, me too. It’s that moment when you’ve dissociated to the point where all you can do is find some absurd way to cope, and for me, that’s becoming my own version of 'Kendrick it out.' That's exactly where I was when I stumbled upon my own 'better alternative' for dealing with it all: a healthy dose of satire, a dash of dissociation, and a whole lot of dancing to Kendrick Lamar. It sounds wild, I know, but hear me out. When the world feels like it's spinning out of control, and you're left wondering how to even process it, satire provides a crucial escape valve. It's not about ignoring reality; it's about finding a way to process the sheer absurdity of it all. When things are so heavy, sometimes the only way to not completely crumble is to laugh, or at least smirk, at the chaos. It’s a way of reclaiming a little bit of control, even when everything else feels entirely out of your hands. And dissociation? Not in a clinical sense, but more like, mentally checking out for a moment, letting your mind wander to rhythms and beats instead of endless bad news. It’s reaching the point where all you can do is just move, let the music take over, and pretend, just for a little while, that the biggest problem is nailing that dance move. It’s a temporary, self-prescribed mental vacation from the constant barrage of overwhelming information. That's where 'Kendricking it out' comes in. His music, his energy – it’s powerful, it’s raw, and it’s perfect for just letting go. When I say 'Kendrick it out,' I mean throwing on a track and just *dancing*. Not for anyone else, not for perfection, but just to shake off the weight of the world. It’s a physical release that helps untangle the mental knots that build up when you’re constantly bombarded with global crises and disheartening headlines. It's an energetic, almost primal response to feeling powerless. Compared to feeling helpless or constantly stressed, this satirical approach provides a much-needed mental break. It's an active way to engage with difficult emotions without letting them consume you. It’s an alternative to feeling powerless, offering a moment of joyful, albeit slightly unhinged, defiance. This isn't about denial; it's about building resilience through humor and movement. So, if you're feeling that 'world is literally going to *****' vibe, maybe try finding your own version of 'Kendricking it out.' Find your satirical outlet, whatever that may be. Whether it’s dancing in your living room, writing a silly poem, or just allowing yourself a moment of detached amusement, it can genuinely help. It’s about creating your own small bubble of resilience and reminding yourself that even when things are tough, you can still find moments of release and even a little dark humor. It’s a way to acknowledge the seriousness of things without letting it crush your spirit. What are your 'better alternatives' for coping with the world's craziness? I’d love to hear them!
