The end of a notebook always feels like the end of an era! I’m a little late posting this as I made this notebook switch at the beginning of December, but hey I had a whole organ removed so I’m a little behind schedule posting wise. I absolutely love the @Sang Lam stained glass stickers I used on the cover of my new notebook 😍 they’re so shiny and gorgeous. Do any of you journal? How do you use your notebooks? Would you like to see more details from the inside of mine?
I've been journaling for almost 10 years now, and I can honestly say that decorating my notebooks has become a cherished part of the process. Using stained glass stickers from artists like Sang Lam not only makes the cover visually stunning but also adds a layer of personal meaning. I like to think of my journal as a living scrapbook—a mix of doodles, photographs, and stickers that capture moments from everyday life. One thing I’ve learned is how important it is to keep your journal inspiring and approachable. For instance, some of my previous notebooks, such as trusty Leuchtturm journals, have held snippets of crazy life events, childhood memories, and even rare photos. Decorating the cover and interior with stickers turned the notebooks into a kind of visual timeline where each sticker tells a story or reminds me of a particular time or feeling. When you retire a notebook, it really does feel like the end of an era. I keep my finished journals safely aside, sometimes flipping through them to reflect on my growth and the passage of time. Having a consistent theme like stained glass stickers throughout makes the transition to a new notebook exciting and fresh. If you’re new to journaling or want to revamp your approach, I’d recommend experimenting with different materials and stickers that resonate with you. Maybe try incorporating small photos, meaningful doodles, or even ticket stubs to create a multi-dimensional journal. This keeps journaling fun and deeply personal. Ultimately, journaling is what you make of it. Whether it’s a daily habit or an occasional creative outlet, turning your notebook into a visually pleasing and meaningful object can help maintain the excitement and connection to your thoughts and memories over time.
