Another key aspect is to experiment with composition. Don't hesitate to get close to interesting leaf patterns or textures, or to include reflective surfaces like lakes or wet pavements that mirror the autumn hues. Using a shallow depth of field can help isolate a colorful subject, making the image pop. I also like to look for contrast in my shots.
