Living like HIM…not just talking about HIM 🤍

Today is Maundy Thursday… and I’ve just been thinking.

Jesus washed their feet — knowing who they were, knowing what they would do.

And still chose to serve.

Then told us to do the same.

I’m learning that real faith isn’t just what we say…

it’s how we show up for people. 🤍

John 13:14–15

Jesus, fully aware of the imperfections and future failings of His disciples, chose to humbly serve them by washing their feet—an act of love and humility that calls us to follow His example. When I committed myself to this principle, I found that small acts of service became the most meaningful expressions of my faith. Whether it was listening patiently to a friend, volunteering my time to help those in need, or simply offering kindness to strangers, these actions strengthened my spiritual journey in ways mere words could never achieve. The key is consistency—showing up for people day after day, even when it's inconvenient or challenging. This aligns perfectly with John 13:14-15, where Jesus commands us to serve others as He served His disciples. Understanding this transformed how I view everyday encounters; each moment became an opportunity to live like Him. Additionally, integrating service into daily routines—even during brief moments like a lunch break—can reinforce this lifestyle. Simple gestures, like helping a coworker or offering encouragement, echo Jesus' call to love through service. Ultimately, living faith through action creates genuine connections and fosters a supportive community rooted in love and humility. This Holy Week, consider how you can move beyond words and embody the servant heart that Jesus exemplified. In doing so, faith becomes a living, breathing part of your life—not just a concept to talk about.
