Krabi City Pillar Shrine

It is a sacred object of Krabi Province. Worship brings good fortune to oneself and one's family. Its supernatural power protects and brings good fortune to those who have faith and trust in Buddhism, ensuring their escape from all dangers. Worshipping sacred objects expresses respect, builds mental stability, and builds confidence in people's lives. They uphold and practice only good deeds and are compassionate towards their fellow humans and animals.

The court is located in the heart of the city, at the intersection of Krung Thai Bank, Uttarakitch Road, Pak Nam Subdistrict, Krabi Province, Thailand. It is the location of the city pillar, which is considered a place of photographs and a symbol of the stability and prosperity of Krabi.

It was built in 1993 to be a spiritual anchor for the people of Krabi and a spiritual center for the people of Krabi as well as those who travel through to stop and pay homage for good fortune. The city pillar was brought from Wat Phra Kaew. Bangkok to be enshrined here. Krabi City Pillar is a golden teak pillar.

Large size, located inside a beautiful Thai-style Chaturamuk building. It is believed that this City Pillar is the residence of the guardian deity of the city. Inside the City Pillar Shrine are important Buddha images, including Luang Pho Sak Sit, the Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, and the Buddha image in the blessing posture.

In 1872, King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) graciously elevated the district of Muang Pakasai to the status of a city and bestowed the name "Krabi." It was an outlying district of Nakhon Si Thammarat, with its headquarters located at Ban Talat Kao. In 1875, Krabi was separated as a tributary city under the jurisdiction of Bangkok, Thailand. In 1900, Phraya Raksadanupradit (Kosimbi Na Ranong), Governor of Ranong, desired to have the city near the port for ease of trade. He moved his office from Ban Talat Kao to Ban Pak Nam, where the provincial hall currently stands. Subsequent administrative reforms followed, and in 1933, Krabi was reorganized into a regional administrative system, making it a province of Thailand.

According to ancient royal traditions regarding city building, the city pillar is often erected in strategically important locations to bring good fortune to the city and serve as a focal point for the people to live together in prosperity and stability. There is no evidence of such a pillar being erected in Krabi. The Krabi City Pillar Shrine is an important cultural attraction. Come pay your respects and admire the exquisite architecture of the shrine, which serves as a spiritual center for Buddhists who have strong faith in the Triple Gem, uphold the Five Precepts, study and practice Buddhist teachings, do good and be compassionate to others, uphold Buddhism, cultivate the mind through meditation, respect the Sangha, maintain a calm mind, be a good citizen of the nation, religion, and respect the monarchy. ศาลหลักเมืองกระบี่

เป็นสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์คู่บ้านคู่เมืองของจังหวัดกระบี่ สักการะเพื่อเสริมความเป็นสิริมงคลต่อตนเองและครอบครัว จากพลังของอำนาจเหนือธรรมชาติที่จะคอยตามปกป้องคุ้มครองภัย และนำโชคลาภมาสู่แก่ตัวผู้ที่มีความศรัทธา และให้ความเคารพเชื่อมั่นในพระพุทธศาสนา ให้แคล้วคลาดรอดพ้นจากภัยอันตรายทั้งปวง การกราบไหว้บูชาสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์เป็นการแสดงความเคารพ และเป็นการสร้างความมั่นคงใจทางจิตใจ  รวมถึงเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นให้กับผู้คนในการดำเนินชีวิต ได้ยึดถือและปัฎิบัติกระทำแต่ในสิ่งที่ดีงาม มีเมตตาต่อเพื่อนร่วมโลกทั้งคนและสัตว์

เป็นที่ประดิษฐานเสา หลักเมือง ซึ่งถือเป็นสถานที่แชะเป็นสัญลักษณ์ ของความมั่นคงและเจริญรุ่งเรืองของเมืองกระบี่ ได้ถูกสร้างขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2536 เพื่อเป็นที่ยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจของคนกระบี่ และเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของคนกระบี่รวมไปถึงผู้ที่เดินทางสัญญาจรผ่านไปมาได้แวะสักการะบูชาเพื่อเป็นศิริมงคล โดยมีการอัญเชิญเสาหลักเมืองจากวัดพระแก้ว กรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อมาประดิษฐาน ไว้ ณ ที่แห่งนี้ เสาหลักเมืองกระบี่ เป็นเสาไม้ตะเคียนทองขนาดใหญ่ ตั้งอยู่ภายในอาคารทรงไทยจตุรมุขที่สวยงาม มีความเชื่อว่าเสา หลักเมืองนี้เป็นที่สิงสถิตของ เทพารักษ์ผู้คุ้มครองเมือง ภายในศาลหลักเมืองมีพระพุทธรูปสำคัญ ประดิษฐานอยู่ ได้แก่ หลวงพ่อศักดิ์สิทธิ์ พระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัย และพระพุทธรูปปางประทานพร

สืบเนื่องจากปีพุทธศักราช 2415 พระบาทสมเด็จ พระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 5 ได้ทรงพระ กรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ยกฐานะแขวงเมืองปกาสัยขึ้น เป็นเมือง และพระราชทานนามว่า "เมืองกระบี่” โดย เป็นเมืองออกของเมืองนครศรีธรรมราชตั้งที่ทำการ อยู่ ณ บ้านตลาดเก่า ต่อในปีพุทธศักราช 2418 จึง ได้แยกเมืองกระบี่ออกเป็นเมืองจัตวา ขึ้นตรงกับ กรุงเทพมหานคร ประเทศไทย

ครั้นเมื่อปีพุทธศักราช 2443 พระยารักษฎานุ ประดิษฐ์ (คอซิมบี้ ณ ระนอง) สมุหเทศาภิบาล ประสงค์จะให้เมืองอยู่ใกล้ท่าเรือเพื่อสะดวกในการ ค้าขาย จึงได้ย้ายที่ทำการจากบ้านตลาดเก่ามาตั้ง อยู่ ณ บ้านปากน้ำ อันเป็นที่ตั้งของศาลากลาง จังหวัดในปัจจุบัน ต่อมาได้มีการปรับปรุงการ ปกครองมาเป็นลำดับจนถึงปีพุทธศักราช 2476 จึง ได้จัดระเบียบการปกครองเป็นส่วนภูมิภาคเมืองกระบี่จึงเป็นจังหวัดหนึ่งของประเทศไทย

ตามโบราณราชประเพณีเกี่ยวกับการสร้างเมืองมัก จะมีการยกเสาหลักเมืองขึ้น ในพื้นที่อันเป็นชัยภูมิ สำคัญ เพื่อเป็นสิริมงคลแก่บ้านเมือง เป็นหลักชัยให้ ประชาชนได้อยู่ร่วมกันด้วยความวัฒนาสถาพร ตลอดไป ซึ่งสำหรับเมืองกระบี่ยังไม่ปรากฏหลักฐานว่าได้มีการยกเสาหลักเมืองไว้แต่อย่างใด ศาลหลักเมืองกระบี่ เป็นสถานที่ ท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญทางวัฒนธรรม เชิญทุกท่านแวะสักการะชมสถาปัตยกรรมอันงดงามวิจิตรบรรจง ของศาลหลักเมือง ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของเหล่าพุทธศาสนิกชน ผู้ที่มีพลังศรัทธาในพระรัตนตรัย, ตั้งมั่นอยู่ในศีล 5 ศึกษาและปฏิบัติตามหลักธรรมคำสอนของพระพุทธศาสนา ทำความดีและมีเมตตาต่อผู้อื่น บำรุงพระพุทธศาสนา ฝึกฝนจิตใจด้วยสมาธิ เคารพพระสงฆ์ สำรวมกาย วาจา ใจให้สงบ เป็นพลเมืองดีของชาติ, ศาสนา และเคารพต่อองค์พระมหากษัตริย์ละนำหลักธรรมไปใช้เพื่อเป็นแบบอย่างในการดำเนินชีวิตสืบต่อไป.
