The Rang Khayee Reservoir Project, initiated under the royal patronage, originated from a request by residents of Village No. 2, Yang Hak Subdistrict, Pak Tho District, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand, for a water source. They suffered from annual droughts and lacked water for agriculture and consumption. His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, the tenth monarch of the Chakri Dynasty, continued this initiative, applying the principles of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and the royal aspirations of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) to daily life, focusing on creating sustainable benefits for Thai society.
His Majesty the King graciously approved the Rang Khayee Reservoir Project and its associated structures as a Royal Project on June 17, 2020, to alleviate the hardship that villagers have experienced every year. Upon completion, the reservoir will increase water storage capacity from 80,000 cubic meters to 206,423 cubic meters, benefiting over 343 households and agricultural areas.

The project is located within the area of responsibility of the Royal Irrigation Department. According to updates from the Privy Council, who visited the site to monitor progress, the project has the following key details:
- Objective: To assist residents of Village No. 2 (Ban Tak Daed), Yang Hak Subdistrict, in alleviating hardship caused by drought and water shortages for domestic use, consumption, and agriculture.
- Reservoir capacity: Approximately 80,000 cubic meters (based on initial plans), with a potential development capacity of around 206,434 cubic meters.
- Beneficiary area: Covers approximately 200-300 rai of agricultural land and benefits over 1,000 people or about 343 households in the area.
- Project Status: The project is currently in the expedited implementation phase, including the submission of applications for forest land use permits and the preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report to comply with the regulations of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, as the project area is located near the Chalerm Phra Kiat Thai Prachan National Park.

And certain groups of civil servants who lack competence, a sense of duty, good coordination between the government and the public, and long-term follow-up, must be subject to retrospective investigation. If it is found that they have committed corruption, fraud, negligence, or intentionally failed to perform their assigned duties, or abandoned their work, resulting in damage to the organization, they must be investigated, face disciplinary action, be dismissed from the civil service, and prosecuted retrospectively.

They are based on the royal initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X), who continue the legacy of these virtuous deeds. They embody the concept of "embracing and applying" these principles., "The King's Science," based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy and His Majesty's aspiration to "preserve, maintain, and further develop for the lasting happiness of the Thai people. Royal Development Projects are non-profit projects in Thailand, established by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the ninth monarch of the Chakri Dynasty. Following his passing, His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, the tenth monarch of Thailand, continued his legacy., It is currently under the coordination and supervision of the Office of the Royal Development Projects Coordination Committee (ORDPCC).
Number of Royal Initiative Projects: Currently, there are 4,810 Royal Initiative Projects throughout Thailand. Examples of important Royal Initiative Projects include:
- Water resource development projects: such as the "Kaem Ling" (Monkey Cheek) project and the Royal Rainmaking Project to solve flooding and drought problems.
- Agricultural development: such as the "Klaeng Din" (Soil Improvement) project to improve acidic soil and the "Pha Tuek Yaeng" (Vetiver Grass Planting) project to prevent soil erosion.
- Quality of life development: such as the New Theory of Agriculture concept and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to build resilience for farmers.
- Royal Development Study Centers: These serve as model centers for study and experimentation in each region, such as the Huai Hong Khrai Royal Development Study Center (Chiang Mai) and the Khao Hin Son Royal Development Study Center (Chachoengsao), Thailand.
