goodness and correctness

"The essence of being a complete person" is the royal advice of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, King Rama X of the Chakri Dynasty of Thailand, which His Majesty graciously bestowed upon us...

:

"To be truly competent and virtuous, one must, regardless of their position or status, maintain a firm and unwavering resolve, always adhering to goodness and righteousness as their guiding principles."

These are invaluable teachings with profound meaning for all Thai people. The teachings of His Majesty King Rama X are not only a guide for life, but also a criterion for measuring complete humanity, encompassing both ability and virtue. Intellectual prowess or high position, if lacking goodness and righteousness, is worthless and cannot bring true happiness. Conversely, if all of us, regardless of status or profession, firmly uphold goodness, behave only in good ways, and act only in what is right and just, without being swayed by influence or temptation, our society will be filled with unity, peace, and lasting prosperity. Therefore, I humbly embrace these royal teachings as a guiding light in my life, conduct myself as a good citizen, and offer my unwavering loyalty with pure body, speech, and mind.

Protecting, respecting, and upholding the institutions of the nation and religion (Buddhism, the national religion of Thailand) is the duty of every Thai person. The entire nation must work together to preserve and continue this legacy. Let us be loyal, protect, and safeguard Thailand, love our land, and unite in love and solidarity.

It is a great power, a gratitude for the land that gave life, that will bring prosperity and goodness, like a beautiful diamond that always shines brightly. His Majesty will forever reside in the hearts of the world and the hearts of all Thai people. On this occasion, I humbly bow my head in remembrance and gratitude for His Majesty. With boundless and immeasurable grace, may His Majesty the King live long and prosper. We humbly hold His Majesty's power and authority above all else in this land, protecting us with boundless and immeasurable grace, beyond measure or comparison anywhere else. May His Majesty the King live long and prosper, enjoying perfect health and well-being, and remain a guiding light and protector of the Thai people forever.

With utmost respect and humility.
