Time keeps moving — whether we’re ready or not.

... Read moreTime is an unstoppable force; it moves forward with precision and does not pause for anyone. This reality can be challenging to accept, especially when we wish moments could last longer or change. I've often found that truly appreciating the present helps lessen the anxiety of time slipping away. From personal experience, practicing mindfulness—such as taking deliberate moments to notice my surroundings or breathe deeply—has grounded me in the present. Whether in tranquil places like Yapp Conservation Land or lively streets like Newbury St and Back Bay, being fully present enriches my connection to the world around me. The recognition that time is indifferent to our desires can initially feel daunting, but it also brings freedom. It encourages me to focus on what I can control: my attitude, my actions, and how I choose to spend my moments. Moving forward doesn’t mean rushing; it means embracing change, growth, and the beauty in impermanence. Places like Somerville, Burlington, and Franklin, which may seem ordinary, become special when experienced mindfully. I treasure everyday experiences, whether standing quietly in a favorite spot, engaging with my community, or reflecting on the passage of time. Ultimately, this perspective inspires me to cherish the now—not waiting for future happiness but finding joy and peace in the present. Time’s steady hands remind me that life is fleeting and precious, urging us to live fully and authentically every day.
