Easy snacks in this economy
so, SNAP hasn't been released for millions in the USA. And the economy makes many of us struggle anyways. I am sharing this to show how to use what you have or something cheaper, to make those snacks many love!
I taught my 6 year old son how to use the air fryer to make those chips he wanted at the store
He attempted to cut the potatoes. but Mom helped to get them thinner.
for some reason he decided they'd be better with a hole in the center.
And he found it awesome that he could use a straw to make the hole.
Then, set air fryer ro 350°F for 18 minutes.
he chose a little salt and parm cheese for his.
Chips come out a little soft, but once cooled they are crisp.
In today's challenging economic climate, finding affordable yet delicious snacks is essential for many families. Air fryer potato chips are a great solution because they use basic ingredients like potatoes and minimal oil, keeping costs low while delivering a tasty treat. Teaching kids how to prepare snacks not only helps with budgeting but also encourages healthy eating habits and kitchen skills. Thinly slicing potatoes, as described, is key to achieving that perfect crispiness after air frying at 350°F for around 18 minutes. Adding personalized toppings such as a sprinkle of salt or Parmesan cheese can enhance flavors without adding unnecessary expenses. Using household items like a straw to create holes in the chips adds a fun, creative touch that engages children in the cooking process. These homemade snacks avoid the high prices and preservatives found in store-bought chips, making them a better option for both health and economy. For even more economical snack ideas, consider experimenting with other air-fried vegetables or making no-bake energy bites using oats and honey. Overall, simple, budget-friendly snacks made at home can help families stay nourished and satisfied without overspending in uncertain economic times.
