... Read moreHey couponing community! So, you've seen my latest restock haul, including all those essential dryer sheets and my favorite OXI cleaner, and you're probably wondering, 'How does she get all that for so little?' Well, it's all about strategic couponing and building a smart stockpile! Since many of you are curious about getting started, I wanted to share my top tips on how to find and use coupons effectively to stock up on household essentials without breaking the bank. First things first, where do you even find coupons? You'd be surprised how many sources are out there! My go-to spots include the Sunday newspaper inserts – they're still a goldmine for brand-name product coupons. Don't forget about printable coupons from websites like Coupons.com or directly from manufacturer sites. This is often where I find coupons for specific items like those premium dryer sheets or specialty OXI products. Another huge one is digital coupons through store apps. Almost every major grocery store and retailer, from Target to Kroger, has a rewards program with digital coupons you can 'clip' right to your loyalty card. And finally, don't sleep on cashback apps like Ibotta or Fetch Rewards – they're not traditional coupons, but they give you money back on purchases, which is basically like getting a discount after the fact! Now, how do you turn those coupons into a robust stockpile? The secret is matching coupons with sales cycles. Most stores have weekly sales flyers, and that's when you want to strike! If you have a coupon for a product that's already on sale, your savings multiply exponentially. For instance, I always keep an eye out for sales on laundry detergents and fabric softeners. When I see a good sale on dryer sheets, and I have a manufacturer coupon for them, I buy several to last me months. The same goes for OXI-style boosters; they can be pricey, but when combined with a coupon and a sale, you can get them for a steal. Another pro tip is to look for 'Buy One Get One Free' (BOGO) deals. If you have a coupon for an item that's BOGO, you can often use that coupon on the item you're paying for, effectively getting two for the price of one minus the coupon! Always read the fine print on coupons and store policies, as stacking (using a manufacturer coupon with a store coupon) isn't always allowed, but when it is, it's pure magic. Don't be afraid to check the clearance aisles too! Sometimes you can find items already marked down significantly, and if you happen to have a coupon for it, you're looking at near-freebies. It takes a bit of patience and knowing your 'rock bottom' prices, but it's so rewarding when you score big. I’ve found great deals on seasonal scents of dryer sheets or detergents this way. Building a stockpile isn't just about saving money; it's about having peace of mind that you won't run out of essentials. So, start small, collect those coupons, track sales, and you'll be well on your way to a beautifully stocked home just like mine!

Just a genuine question. I know perishables expire. Do you ever stop purchasing so you can use the items before expiration and then begin restocking. I would love to coupon I just have to get the hang of it.
