My experience at Nail Lab in Raleigh NC
Hi friends!!
I recently got my nails done here, and safe to say I will NOT be going back!
(unless I have to get them done on short notice..)
I scheduled a same day appointment for 5 pm, and they got me in very quickly! It wasn't extremely busy when I went, and there was no waiting time.
However, the nail tech working with my hands was very rough with me, and he cut me multiple times. He apologized, but I was in pain.
Another con was the other male nail techs surrounding me and him as he was doing my nails. I felt very uncomfortable and I like my space.
Although I believe he did a good job on my nails besides the cuts, he also blamed me for small mistakes he made in the process of doing them. I understand his frustration, but it happened multiple times.
This nail salon DOES serve alcoholic drinks, which I think is cute if you'd like to go with a loved one to have some quality time.
With that being said, I personally do not recommend going unless you like getting your nails done and drinking alone next to lots of other strangers.
I'm very used to going to an at home nail tech who does private sessions, so being in a salon for the first time in a while is definitely jarring. No fault at the salon though, just my personal experience.
Lastly, I paid $172 USD for my nails. Personally i'm not used to this pricing, but that's just me!
Overall, I would have to rate my experience 2 ⭐️⭐️ out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.
Would you guys go here? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏽
Raleigh NAIL LAB - Luxury Nail Bar #NailSalon #raleigh #raleighnc #nc #northcarolina
My recent trip to Nail Lab in Raleigh, NC, left me feeling pretty disappointed, as you read in my main review. Getting a 2-star experience for $172 was definitely not what I hoped for, especially when you're looking for a relaxing pamper session. This whole experience really got me thinking about what makes a nail salon truly stand out – and what red flags to watch out for, especially when you're searching for 'nail lab luxury nail bar raleigh reviews' or 'nail salon near me'. One of the biggest eye-openers for me was the $172 price tag. When you're dreaming of beautiful, elaborate nails from 'the inspo' pictures, it’s easy to get carried away. But it's crucial to understand what you're paying for. Luxury nail bars, like Nail Lab, often come with a higher price point due to their ambiance – I mean, it was 'very pretty inside!' – and perhaps more intricate designs or premium products. However, even with the promise of 'luxury,' the service should match the cost. Always ask for a price breakdown upfront, especially if you're getting something complex like the 3D dragon designs I saw on my inspo pic. Unexpected add-ons can quickly hike up the bill, so don't be shy about clarifying before they start. The part about the nail tech being 'rough' and cutting me multiple times was the most concerning. It made me wonder, 'is getting cut multiple times normal?' The answer is a resounding NO! While accidents can happen, a professional technician should prioritize your comfort and safety. If you ever feel pain or discomfort, it's absolutely okay to speak up immediately. A good tech will apologize and adjust their technique. Feeling 'uncomfortable' because of the surrounding environment, as I did, is also something to consider. If you prefer a more private or quiet experience, it's worth seeking out salons known for that, or ones that offer private rooms, which is what I'm used to with my at-home tech. Many people search for 'nail salon raleigh' looking for a specific vibe, so read reviews carefully about the atmosphere. So, how do you avoid a similar experience when looking for 'nail lab raleigh nc' or another spot? My advice: dive deep into reviews beyond just the star rating. Look for comments on technician professionalism, hygiene (especially if cuts are mentioned!), pricing transparency, and the overall atmosphere. Check out 'nail lab luxury nail bar raleigh photos' to see if the environment matches your preference. Don't hesitate to call ahead and ask about their services, typical pricing for your desired look, and if they have technicians known for a gentle touch. For those who enjoy a drink while getting pampered, the fact that Nail Lab serves alcohol might be a plus, but if you prefer a more focused, less bustling environment, that's something to weigh too. It's all about matching the salon to your personal expectations for a truly luxurious and relaxing experience. Ultimately, my goal with sharing this isn't to bash any business, but to help others in Raleigh make informed decisions. A nail appointment should be a treat, not a source of pain or discomfort. By being proactive and knowing what to look for, you can find that perfect spot where you feel valued and leave with beautiful nails, without the hefty price tag feeling undeserved.
