... Read moreLife in your 30s truly hits different, as everyone seems to be living unique versions of "figuring it out." Despite sharing the same age range, experiences can be vastly different — from managing career goals and family responsibilities to dealing with emotional struggles and personal growth. I've found that one of the most valuable lessons in this stage of life is learning to accept imperfection. Like many, I have faced moments of vulnerability, whether it's rushing to preschool with my emotions still raw or confronting personal challenges that I once hid behind a brave face. These real, unpolished experiences don't signify failure but rather growth. Connecting with others also becomes a meaningful yet sometimes challenging part of the journey. It’s not always easy to find authentic friendships or mom friends in your 30s, but being open about where you really are emotionally paves the way for deeper bonds. Additionally, career successes can sometimes feel unexpectedly hollow. I, too, have had moments of questioning the purpose behind my achievements and sought therapy to uncover true fulfillment. This common thread reminds us that success is multifaceted and personal well-being should never be sidelined. Ultimately, the "real glow-up" of this decade is embracing the messy, imperfect, and deeply human parts of life. It's about showing up authentically, owning your story, and accepting that each of us has different battles—even if we're in the same age group. This perspective has allowed me to appreciate my journey more fully and encourages others to find strength in their own unique paths.
