「住宅ローン控除って、給与明細のどこを見れば反映されてるの？」と私も最初つまずきました。結論から言うと、住宅ローン控除そのものの“名前”が毎回ドンと載るというより、12月（または年末調整を反映した月）の“所得税の精算結果”として手取りに現れることが多いです。 私が確認しているのは、まず給与明細の「控除」パートにある“所得税”の金額。12月は年末調整の結果が反映されるので、いつもより所得税が少なかったり、逆にマイナスのような形で戻ってきたり（会社の表示方法で見え方は違います）、追加で引かれていたりします。ここで「住宅ローン控除を出したのにいつもと同じくらい引かれてる…」と感じたら、次に見るのが明細内の「摘要」「年末調整」「還付」「過不足」などの欄。会社によって表記はバラバラですが、“年末調整の差引額”が載っていることがあります。 次に、年末調整書類側のチェックもセットでやると安心です。住宅ローン控除は、会社に出した「住宅借入金等特別控除申告書」の内容が前提になるので、借入残高（年末残高）や居住開始年月日、控除額の計算が合っているかを見直します。もし途中で転職していて前職分の源泉徴収票を出し忘れていると、そもそも年末調整が正しく完了せず、控除が反映されない（または不足）こともあるので要注意でした。 「還付が少ない」ケースで私がよく見かけるのは、そもそもその年に払った所得税が少なくて、住宅ローン控除を満額使い切れないパターンです（控除は“払った所得税”が上限になりやすい）。逆に追加徴収になっている時は、扶養や保険料控除の申告漏れ、賞与・残業で見込みより年収が増えた、ふるさと納税の上限超えなども原因になり得ます。 最後に実務的なコツ。給与明細は「勤怠・支給・控除」の3つに分けて見て、12月はとにかく控除の“所得税”と摘要欄を重点チェック。明細と一緒に、年末調整関連の控え（住宅ローン控除の申告書、保険料控除証明、前職の源泉徴収票）を同じフォルダに保管しておくと、問い合わせが必要になった時にすぐ動けます。もし明細だけでは判断できなければ、会社の担当（人事・総務）に「年末調整の過不足額と、住宅ローン控除が反映されているか」を具体的に聞くのが一番早かったです。
