The 'Ring General' has been on an absolute tear, and his Intercontinental Championship reign has been dominant in its own right. While he might have been a long shot back then, if Roman's reign had continued for even longer without Cody, Gunther would have eventually built up enough momentum to be an unstoppable force. His hard-hitting style and ruthless efficiency could be a perfect foil for the Tribal Chief. Ultimately, dethroning Roman Reigns, especially with The Bloodline at his side, was an almost impossible task. It required not just immense skill and strength, but also the perfect storyline and fan connection.
