How I use my prayer beads 🏛️ (ft ares’s beads)
There’s no correct way to pray on your prayer beads but I’ll discuss the way that I format / make my beads .
• much like catholic rosaries I make mines with 10 decades in between each bead (there’s 50 decades all together ) but I also include a symbol at the end of the rosary
• at the symbol at the bottom is where I invoke the deity and then at the first bead I recite a line of prayer
• at the covered beads the “decades” I do a “hail___” for each covered bead
• at the picture of the deity I say what I’m actually praying for and I continue reciting one line of prayer until I loop all the way back at the picture and a full prayer has been said .

When you hold these decorative prayer beads, you might focus on intentions like cultivating discipline, finding courage to face challenges, or seeking protection. A simple prayer could be an affirmation of strength, such as 'Hail Ares, mighty protector, grant me courage and steadfastness.' You can use each bead to meditate on a quality you wish to embody, or a specific challenge you need help overcoming. If your heart calls to Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure, your prayer bead practice might evoke softness, allure, and connection. Here, the silver-colored filigree beads or any delicate, aesthetically pleasing elements become central. Perhaps you'd choose beads in rose pinks, sea greens, or pearlescent whites. As you move through your beads, you could focus on self-love, fostering compassion, attracting harmonious relationships, or appreciating the beauty around you. A heartfelt invocation might be, 'Hail Aphrodite, radiant goddess, bless me with love and beauty, within and without.' The tactile beauty of the beads themselves can be a reminder of Aphrodite's domain. And for Apollo, the god of light, healing, music, and prophecy, your prayer beads can guide you towards clarity, inspiration, and well-being. Imagine beads that gleam like the sun, perhaps with golden hues or bright, clear stones. The crescent moon charm, while often associated with his twin Artemis, can also symbolize the celestial connection and cycles of inspiration. With Apollo, you might use your beads to seek guidance in creative endeavors, to ask for healing for yourself or others, or to gain insight into a difficult situation. A prayer could be, 'Hail Apollo, bright lord, illuminate my path and inspire my spirit.' Each repetition on a bead can be a step towards greater understanding or a deeper connection to your inner muse. Remember, the essence of using prayer beads, whether for Ares, Aphrodite, Apollo, or any deity, lies in the intention and consistency. The 'no correct way' principle is truly important here. Your unique decorative prayer beads, with their silver-colored filigree beads and perhaps those striking red accents, are an extension of your personal devotion.
