September Reset: Grocery Haul + Fridge Restock
A big grocery delivery arrived, which is one of those little luxuries that makes life feel easier. While restocking, the fridge got a much-needed clear out and wipe down. There’s something about starting a new season with a clean fridge that feels so good.
And since fall is right around the corner, I couldn’t resist getting a head start. I baked a Pumpkin Spice Dump Cake. It was rich, cozy, and the perfect first taste of the season.

Starting a new season often inspires a fresh approach to daily habits, and there’s no better place to begin than the kitchen. A thorough fridge clean-out not only helps maintain food safety but also minimizes waste and keeps your ingredients fresh longer. Consider using natural cleaners or a mix of baking soda and water to wipe down shelves and drawers for an eco-friendly touch. When restocking your fridge for fall, prioritize seasonal produce like squash, apples, pumpkins, and leafy greens, which can inspire comforting recipes and boost nutrition. Organizing your groceries by category and expiry date helps streamline meal planning and avoids clutter. For a cozy fall treat, the Pumpkin Spice Dump Cake is a delightfully simple dessert that captures the essence of the season. Combining pumpkin puree with warming spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves creates that signature fall flavor. Dump cakes are known for their ease — layering cake mix over a fruit or pumpkin base, then baking until golden and bubbly. This method saves time while delivering rich, comforting flavors. If you want to extend the freshness of dairy and plant-based creamers, like almond and silk almond creamers seen in popular grocery hauls, keep them in the coldest part of the fridge rather than the door, where temperature fluctuations are greater. Planning ahead with a grocery delivery service simplifies busy schedules and ensures you have all fall baking essentials at your fingertips. By combining fridge organization, mindful grocery restocking, and seasonal recipes, you can reset your kitchen for fall and enjoy the comforting, clean, and efficient space that helps you embrace the new season's vibes fully.

I do the same with restock with both fridges and both freezers. I rotate foods. Clean fridges once a week.
