「浦和でおしゃれで、ゆっくり話せるカフェない？」と聞かれた時に思い浮かぶのが、住宅街にひっそりある“隠れ家”系のお店。cafe uwaitoはまさにそのタイプで、初めて行くときは地図を見ても「ここで合ってる…？」となる感じが逆に楽しかったです。駅前のにぎやかさから少し離れているので、浦和駅周辺で長居できるカフェを探している人にも向いていると思います。 店内は一軒家を改装したつくりで、木の温もりがあって落ち着く雰囲気。席の間隔も窮屈すぎない印象で、友達と近況報告したり、ひとりでぼーっとしたりするのにちょうどよかったです。「浦和カフェ ゆったり」で探している人がイメージする空気感に近いはず。 私が特に好きだったのはデザート。プリンはなめらかな食感で、ソースがしっかり多め。バニラアイス×ブルーベリーの組み合わせはさっぱり寄りで、暑い日でも重くならないのが嬉しいポイントでした。もう一つの自家製塩アイス×キャラメルソースは甘じょっぱさがクセになる系で、コーヒーと合わせたくなる味。どっちにするか迷ったら、同行者とシェアするのもおすすめです。 夏場に気になったのがかき氷。ティラミス味はデザート感が強くて、カフェスイーツとして満足度高め。季節や“本日のデザート”は変わることがあるので、行く前にSNSをチェックしておくと「今日はこれが食べたい！」が決めやすいです。 「近くのカフェ」「ここから近いカフェ」みたいに現在地から探すときは、浦和駅から徒歩圏でも“住宅街の中”にある点だけ注意。時間に余裕を持って向かうと、到着してからも気持ちがバタつかずに過ごせます。昼はランチ時間が決まっているので、カフェ利用メインなら14時半以降の入店も選択肢。逆にランチ狙いなら早めの時間に行くと安心でした。 あと地味に助かったのがPayPayが使えること。現金が少ない日でも入りやすいので、浦和で暇つぶしできる場所を探しているときにも便利でした。次はランチも試しに行きたいです。
