熊谷イオンのフードコートって、サクッと済ませたい日や家族連れの時に本当に便利ですよね。私も買い物ついでに「とりあえず軽く食べてから次の予定へ」になりがちなんですが、最近は“フードコート＝メイン”じゃなくて、前後の動線でお店を組み合わせると満足度が一気に上がるなと感じました。 例えば、昼に熊谷イオンのフードコートでうどんや丼で手早くお腹を整えて、夕方〜夜は熊谷駅前でしっかり飲み＆鍋、みたいな使い方。イオンは座席が多くて回転も早いので、待ち合わせ前の時間調整や、子どもが疲れた時の休憩にも向いていました。反対に「今日はがっつり食べたい」「季節ものを食べたい」って気分の時は、フードコートだけだとちょっと物足りない日もあるんですよね。 そんな日にぴったりだったのが、熊谷駅北口から徒歩1分の「五右衛門」。都内っぽい豪快な牡蠣鍋が食べられて、特に“巨大バターとたっぷり味噌の土手鍋”は香りだけでテンション上がりました。牡蠣もぶりんぶりんで、濃いめの味噌にバターのコクが合わさる感じがたまらないです。新登場の鶏白湯スープのキムチ牡蠣鍋も、辛さで誤魔化すんじゃなくて鶏の旨みが土台にあるタイプで食べやすかった印象。 行く前に知っておくと便利なのは、2〜3人前の鍋が中心なので、2人以上だと注文しやすいこと。もちろん1人でも入りやすいカウンター席があるので、まずは名物のもつ煮や串焼きで一杯→鍋はシェア、みたいな頼み方もおすすめです。〆は雑炊までいくと満腹度が段違い。 あと地味に嬉しかったのが、時間に関係なくハイボールが安い日があるところ。イオンで買い物→フードコートで軽食→駅前で鍋とお酒、の流れだと移動もシンプルで、熊谷の夜が一気に“ご褒美コース”になります。 最後に、期間限定で「動画を見た」「食べて埼玉を見た」で牡蠣鍋が500円引きになる特典（2/4〜2/26）があるので、行くなら早めが安心。私は入店時に先に伝えたらスムーズでした。
