Nakamura-ya in front of Saitama Kaikan is a shop whose name is mentioned almost always when it comes to Urawa eel that is invited by the smoke coming out of the duct and the scent.

浦和で「うなぎの有名店を探してる」「老舗の鰻屋さんに行きたい」と思ったら、まず候補に入れたいのが中村家。私も埼玉会館の近くを歩いていたら、ダクトから出る香ばしい煙と匂いに吸い寄せられてしまいました。浦和の鰻って“街の名物”感が強いけど、中村家はその中でも「浦和の鰻といったら必ずと言っていいほど名前が挙がるお店」って言われるのに納得。お店の前からもう期待値が上がります。 注文するなら人気はやっぱりうな重。特上はご飯が見えないほど鰻が盛られていて、運ばれてきた瞬間にテンションが上がりました。蒸しがしっかり入ったタイプで身がふわっふわ。タレは甘すぎない印象で、最後まで重くならずに食べやすいです。途中で粉山椒を少しずつかけると、香りが立ってまた別の美味しさに。うな重は肝吸い付きなのも嬉しいポイントでした。 混み具合は体感として「平日でも外待ちあり」。確実に食べたいなら予約が安心です。予約時に注文もできるみたいなので、時間が限られる日（仕事の合間や用事の前後）ほど活用するとスムーズ。逆に、ふらっと行くなら開店直後か、ランチのピークを外した時間帯を狙うのがよさそうです。 座席はテーブル席が多めで、個室もあるので、家族の集まりやちょっとした会食にも使いやすい雰囲気。老舗だけど入りづらさはそこまで感じませんでした。湯呑みに“浦和うなこちゃん”がいたりして、細かいところも浦和らしくて和みます。 注意点は駐車場がないこと。浦和駅から徒歩7分なので電車が楽でした。どうしても車なら、近くのコインパーキングを最初から調べておくと焦らずに済みます。 サイドなら骨せんべいを追加するのもおすすめ。うな重のふわふわ感とは真逆のカリッと食感で、待ってる間のつまみにもぴったり。浦和で「鰻屋」「うなぎ名店」を探している人は、中村家は一度行ってみる価値ありです。
