ONLY 2 PHOTO APPS YOU’LL EVER NEED

Ever since high school I have been into photography and posting on instagram! Through years of trial and error, I’ve found these apps to be the only 2 apps I ever need to express my creativity through photography!

Seriously tho… Lightroom is literally the best app I have discovered when it comes to pictures

Ps… check out my previous post to steal my Lightroom settings 🫢🤫

2025/2/3 Edited to

... Read moreYou know that feeling when you scroll through your feed and see those perfectly edited photos, wondering how everyone achieves that magic? Well, I’ve been there! After years of experimenting, I truly believe you don't need a dozen apps cluttering your phone. Just two powerful tools can transform your photography game, whether you're a casual snapper or an aspiring content creator. While my original post highlighted Lightroom, let's dive deeper into how these two gems – Picsart and Lightroom – complement each other to create stunning visuals for platforms like Instagram stories and beyond. Let's talk Picsart first, because it's a powerhouse for creative edits, especially on an iPhone. Many of you search for “Picsart iPhone photo editor interface” or “Picsart editing interface iPhone,” and for good reason! The app's layout is surprisingly intuitive, making complex edits accessible. I love how easily I can navigate its vast array of tools right from my phone screen. Want to make your Instagram stories pop? Picsart is your go-to. It's fantastic for “Picsart Instagram story editing” because of its stickers, text overlays, and quick collage features. You can add playful animations, trendy fonts, and even create custom graphics that perfectly fit your aesthetic. One of my absolute favorite features, which I know many of you look for with queries like “Picsart add photo overlay iPhone,” is the ability to seamlessly add photo overlays. Whether it's a subtle texture, a light leak effect to give that vintage vibe, or even layering multiple images for a surreal look, Picsart makes it a breeze. This is also incredibly useful if you're trying to achieve a “wallpaper DSLR editing Picsart background” effect, allowing you to blend your subject with a custom background or create dynamic compositions without needing a professional camera. You can literally remove unwanted objects from your photos and replace backgrounds with just a few taps – it's like magic! For those wondering about “apps like Picsart for free” or “free versions of apps,” Picsart offers a robust free tier. While the Pro version unlocks even more features, the free tools are incredibly capable. You can still access a wide range of filters, basic editing tools, and many creative effects without spending a dime. If you're into the trendy “Y2K photo editor” aesthetic, Picsart has countless filters and stickers that can instantly transport your photos back to that iconic era. You can even replicate some of those classic film looks, similar to what you might get from a “Huji Cam logo” style effect, but with much more control. Now, let's circle back to Lightroom. While Picsart handles the creative flourishes, Adobe Lightroom is my foundation for sophisticated “photo correction app” needs. It’s where I go for precise “color editing,” “lighting adjustments,” and “brightness enhancement.” Lightroom truly shines with its ability to fine-tune every aspect of your image, giving it a professional, polished finish. The non-destructive editing means I can always go back and tweak things without losing my original shot. Seeing the “before-and-after examples” within Lightroom itself is always so satisfying! Together, these two apps are unstoppable. I usually start in Lightroom for global adjustments – getting the exposure, white balance, and colors just right. Then, I take it into Picsart for any creative overlays, text, collages, or specific effects like background removal or adding those fun Y2K elements. This workflow saves me so much time and ensures my photos always look cohesive and branded for my content. Experiment with both to find your perfect balance, and you'll soon wonder why you ever needed more!
