They need to fix this 😡
First, they removed Courtside Cuties Rachel. Now, after being posted on YouTube for a year (and was the main character that attracted everyone to the channel), they took down Secret Delivery Girl Jay. A video with 23k views and all of a sudden, gone. I appealed for Rachel and it was rejected in less than 24 hours. I will appeal this as well. I don't know what is going on but this is putting up a problem for future videos and for the summer series.
As a content creator who has faced video removals on YouTube, I completely understand how frustrating it can be when beloved videos are suddenly taken down without clear explanations. The removal of videos such as ‘Courtside Cuties Rachel’ and ‘Secret Delivery Girl Jay,’ especially after significant viewership accumulation, highlights the challenges creators face with YouTube’s enforcement of terms and policies. In my experience, content flagged for restrictions often relates to subtle issues around community guidelines or copyright claims, sometimes connected to AI-generated content as noted in the videos tagged with #aiart and #aimusic. These policies can be tough to navigate, especially when content creators rely on such videos for community engagement and channel growth. Attempting to appeal removals is a necessary but often stressful process. Quick rejections can feel dismissive, but persistence is key, as sometimes further explanation or revision of the content can lead to reinstatement. I recommend keeping a detailed record of all communications and reviewing the platform's terms to identify possible grounds for appeals. The impact goes beyond individual videos—when primary channel attractions are removed, it can disrupt scheduled series and affect the channel’s overall content strategy, especially for seasonal campaigns like summer series. For creators dealing with similar issues, I suggest diversifying content sources and exploring alternative platforms as backups. Engaging with the community through forums and social media can also help in gaining support during appeal processes. Ultimately, transparency from platforms about removals and clearer guidelines would greatly benefit creators and viewers alike, fostering a more trusting and sustainable content ecosystem.
